The Management of The Posture Of People With Complex Disability
Suitable for:
Health care practitioners who are involved in any aspect of the posture management of people who have complex and profound disability.
Course aims:
The aims of the course are to facilitate learning and understanding of:

postural and functional issues related to neurological impairment;

the theory of the basic bio-mechanical principles for building a stable posture;

the importance of the assessment process, from which clinical decision making derives;
Learning Outcomes:
This workshop will give the participants the opportunity to consider some of the issues that are important when assessing for, prescribing, making and fitting, specialist equipment, including seating, standing and lying supports.
