Key Note Speaker - Dr Jeffrey Jutai

RAATE 2007 is pleased to announce Keynote speaker, Dr Jeffrey Jutai

Jeff is a senior scientist at the Lawson Health Research Institute in London, Canada. He has been actively researching assistive technology outcomes for more than 15 years. He is probably best known for developing the Psychosocial Impact of Assistive Devices Scale (PIADS) which is now available in many international translations.

Jeff Jutai is a Member Investigator in the Canadian Stroke Network , where he is researching the psychosocial and quality-of-life impact of assistive device use by stroke survivors. He is a principal investigator in the Consortium for the Advancement of Assistive Technology Outcomes Research (CATOR) which is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), and director of the Psychosocial Evaluation Research & Development Team of Ontario Rehabilitation Technology Consortium. Recent projects include economic modelling of assistive device outcomes.

Dr. Jutai has been a member of the executive committee of the board of directors of RESNA (the international interdisciplinary association for the advancement of assistive technology) and Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Assistive Technology.

Jeff will be Keynote speaker and leading a workshop on outcome measures at RAATE 2007.
