Abilink is a new and innovative service, developed in two forms, the basic package and a stand alone, touch screen version. Using the tv set makes this service acceptable and non threatening to many people for whom new technology is daunting.

It has been designed to benefit anyone who requires some level of Care or support.

Abilink has many benefits, it augments care and support, enables greater communication opportunities and challenges isolation, in doing so it can maintain or re establish choices, decision making and levels of independence, also supporting or increasing the social footprint.

Using broadband the call is made with two way audio visual capability, our support centre "virtually" visits a service user completing many aspects of care or support where a physical presence is not required. Eg medication prompting. The person be reminded, but also observed taking their medication, over thirty elements not observed via a telephone, can be assesed to complete monitoring or check visits

Warden type calls can be made and individuals talked through basic tasks, there is a touch button direct link to our support centre.

Abilink can be set up to receive "calls" from family members, friends, or groups, making church services, women's institute, the round table, coffee mornings etc, accessible.

Plus a person can still be present at family events, Christmas morning watching grandchildren open presents, birthday get togethers or the first few days of a new babies life.

In addition we are able to deliver other sessions via the service, these could be health education, armchair exercises, art classes, or suduko.

It is capable of working alongside other telehealth or telecare.
